BBKids, an integral program of Briggs & Barrett Project, is designed to instill the values of giving, leadership, and community service in children. Inspired by the belief that it's never too early to make a difference, BBKids engages young minds in activities that not only benefit their communities but also foster personal growth and development.

BBKids offers a structured yet flexible approach to involving children in charitable activities and community service. Through a variety of projects and events planned throughout the year, participants have the opportunity to:

Signing up for BBKids enrolls your child in a global community of young volunteers, dedicated to spreading kindness and making meaningful contributions, regardless of their location. Transitioning to a digital engagement model, we now send out monthly newsletters filled with volunteer opportunities, ensuring that every BBKid, wherever they may be, knows how they can make a difference. This approach keeps our young volunteers connected and informed, ready to participate in upcoming projects and events that encourage a spirit of community service and empathy.

How BBKids Works
Launched in May 2022, BBKids has rapidly become a fundamental part of our outreach, inviting children from all states, not just Nebraska, to actively engage in making a positive difference. This inclusive initiative empowers kids to support their communities in various ways, from simple acts of kindness to neighbors, volunteering at beloved local charities, or participating in our community service events. It's a platform for kids everywhere to learn the value of helping others, demonstrating that no act of kindness, no matter how small, is ever wasted.

2022
Highlights
Engaging 260 participants, BBKids raised over $2,700 for local charities. Our young volunteers supported a variety of causes, from animal shelters to community foundations, demonstrating the wide-reaching effect of their generosity.
2023
Milestones
The BBKids family grew to over 650, collectively raising more than $4,000 for various charitable causes. This growth not only showcases the expanding influence of the program but also the boundless spirit of giving that our participants embody.

To make things easier we track the service hours of all BBKids participants. This record-keeping is great for acknowledging their hard work and dedication. As our young volunteers grow, these documented hours serve as a testament to their commitment to community service, enabling us to provide letters of recommendations for their future endeavors.
